What Hour Planet?
The March 28, 2009, millions of people around the world will unite to "turn off the lights " at 8:30 pm local time, to demonstrate their concern about climate change. Time Planet
can demonstrate that by working together, each of us can do something
to mitigate global warming and therefore climate change. Governments, businesses, communities and individuals
in different parts of the world will participate in Earth Hour and
take steps to reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide.
More than 700 cities around the world have demonstrated their commitment to support the
Hour Planet. Among the leading cities are Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Toronto,
Singapore, Mexico City, Manila, Dubai, Bangkok, Istanbul, London and Paris. We hope you will.
What can people do individually?
• Login to this site and learn the ways of saving energy
• Turn off lights from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on Saturday March 28, 2009, wherever you find
• Replace old light bulbs compact fluorescent (Low Power)
• Commit to reducing energy consumption in their daily lives
• Regular visits to learn what can be done in the fight against climate change
What can each individual
